Mailing Collected Eyeglasses

Did you know that you can mail your Club’s collected eyeglasses to the Texas Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center in Midland, Texas for Free??? You sure can; I just mailed a box from the Amarillo downtown post office yesterday, and I’m sending two more today. Just package the eyeglasses up in a banker size box or smaller and place a label with the correct wording on it, and most post offices should accept the box for shipment. I generally print out the instructions and take them with me so that the post office clerk can read over it if they are not familiar with this service.
