Lion Alert Program: Supporting First Responders After Natural Disasters
The Lion Alert Program is a critical initiative of the Lions Club that mobilizes quickly in the aftermath of natural disasters to provide immediate support to first responders. Focused on offering essential nourishment, the program delivers hot meals, water, and refreshments to the brave individuals on the front lines of disaster recovery—firefighters, paramedics, police, and rescue teams. Working in coordination with local authorities, Lions volunteers ensure that these heroes remain fueled and energized as they carry out life-saving efforts. This program exemplifies the Lions' commitment to serving communities during their most challenging moments, helping to sustain those who protect and rebuild.

Texas Lions provide a variety of programs to encourage youth participation in issues facing society today. Through its contests at the club level, the district level and ultimately the state level, students can research and gain knowledge on various social ramifications of both diabetes and substance abuse. These contests provide youth an opportunity to share leadership experiences and to make a difference in their school and community.
The Texas Lions’ Opportunity for Youth sponsors three main contests during the year. A student may enter multiple contests as long as they meet the qualification requirements for each.
